One of the best places to enjoy the outdoors around Kearney. Paddle boat, fishing, biking, swimming, exploring nature, and frisbee golf are a few things one might enjoy at Cottonmill. Also, this is a great place for outdoor family pictures.
For solitude you can walk/run the trails, canoo, find a secluded place to read, think, ponder, do art...when if it's in your car.

Great location for a plethora of things. Hilly terrain make for a nice jog, lake is nice for kayaking, canoeing, fishing, frisby golf/ volleyball area. All in all, nice location!
Great park for family gatherings or soul searching solitude. For families there is swimming, Frisbee golf, volleyball, a play ground, fishing, paddle boats, you can take your own canoo, and plenty of hiking trails and picnic tables. Also a petting farm and amphitheater.
Loved the swimming area, we took our infant for her first swim. The lake looked nice and we wanted to take out a pedal boat but it was too hot for the little one. Will definitely try and make a trip back when we are in town.
There are tons of places for photography as well, be it nature, family, senior pictures or just for fun.
