I love this place. This is an experience. It has everything that makes a modern museum amazing and perfect. You have the opportunity to have great visuals of displays both of paintings, models, mannequins, Etc.
This is a great place to visit once, if you're interested in history. The stories are depicted well, they have radios so that you can go at your own pace, most of the workers are in costume and everyone is overly friendly & helpful. It was a great break from our long drive. It was way more extensive & cooler than we were expecting and the price was pretty reasonable. This would be a great stop for any age.
Enjoying every single thing in it and taking the time for each display and piece of History to look at would take you two and a half hours to tour the entire Museum. It is an amazing look back at the history of America's traveling from the East to the West. I would always recommend going back to the museum.
You also have the opportunity to have a carryable little remote control that plugs into a headset that allows you to be able to hear the audio's for each display you go to super by waving the wand on to a card that has a number on it.
Maybe get to go inside next time we are through this way again.
Neat stop! Wasn't open when we went through but was a fun stop for a few photo ops.
Great place to learn more about Nebraska! Wonderful tour, I enjoy the headsets that let you proceed at your own pace! So big, but with escalators and elevators, everyone gets to enjoy everything be they stroller or wheelchair bound. Great gift shop and beautiful sculptures inside and out! We really loved feeding the fish and seeing the native plants. The Fort maze was fun, I could hear many kids having a blast.
